What are your view on Gastric Byp surgery?

My husband had it done (will be three years this Aug) and had lost 175lb....he lost half his body weight. He has had no complications at all. When he had his surgery on Wednesday and got out of the hospital on Friday we went shopping, that's how well he felt. His diabetes is gone (I know it is never gone, but no more meds) and his asthma is under control. This was the best decision he and I ever make. There are times when he wishes he had an appetitate, sometimes he doesn't feel like eating. He is 5 '6 and weight 350lbs before the surgery. Now he is a thin 175lb. He could actually use to gain a few back. Good luck to you.
