Do the McCann's (Gerry and Kate) have a right to be angry with the media?

I understand that hearing the news that your child's body may be buried by a road somewhere is distressing, but the McCann's have been using the Media extensively for over 40 days. Besides enjoying the coverage, they appear to also wish to control it. It is my opinion that the daily coverage of the search for Medeleine will put pressure on the journalists to come up with something to print, even facts yet to be verified. I am sorry that the McCann's had to suffer through this apparent hoax, but this may be the price they will need to pay in order to keep Madeleine's image on the front page.
