Do you think that the media is to blame for all the rise in eating disorders etc, its for a debate at school?

I don't we may get told that there are obsesity epidemics and stuff and there are pics of skinny models in magazines but they're not telling us to go out and get eating disorders etc. What are your thoughts on this matter?
